Why do I need insurance for my RCX NHL Street league?

  • Insurance is a requirement for any NHL Street or sports league to protect your organization

What insurance lines are offered by Players Health for my League?

  • General Liability (including Sexual Abuse/Molestation) and Participant Accident

I need a work comp policy. Where can I get that?

  • At this time, please go through your payroll provider or your state fund.

Is auto covered in my Players Health insurance policy?

  • Yes, we offer Hired Non-Owned Auto coverage in the form of $1,000,000

How do I request future COI needs? This includes “Additional Named Insureds” or “Primary/Non-Contributory” endorsement.

  • Please email and we will respond with your additional insured/s within 2 business days

How do I receive my proof of coverage?

  • Your NHL Street hockey insurance will be sent in an email with your proof of coverage

What is GL insurance and what does it cover?

  • GL stands for General Liability, which covers you legally, for any damages to rented facilities, for any personal or advertising injury, and also includes coverage for Sexual Abuse/Molestation. In addition, General Liability is typically required in order to rent a field or space to play.

Why do I need GL insurance/ What is at risk if I don’t get coverage?

  • If you don’t have General Liability coverage, you could be held legally liable in the event of a lawsuit, or other damaging situations.

Do I need additional medical coverage for players who might get injured?

  • The Participant Accident coverage built into your policy will serve as excess or secondary health insurance to the participant’s primary health insurance. This will cover your organization in the event of an injury.

How do I file a claim?

How do I add additional insureds to my coverage?

  • Please email and we will respond with your additional insured/s within 2 business days

How do I add additional insureds or endorsements to my COI?

  • Please email and we will respond with your additional insured/s within 2 business days

How does my COI get approved in my NHL Street admin account?

  • Upon completion of your purchase, a copy of your COI is sent to the NHL Street customer service team who will upload, review, and approved the COI within 2 business days of your purchase

Does this coverage cover my league playing in tournaments outside of the NHL Street regional or championship tournaments?

  • No. Your coverage only extends to normal league play (practices, games, playoff tournaments ect.) and sanctioned NHL Street events for approved NHL leagues.

What if I don’t know how many players will register? Can I add or remove players later on?

  • You can always add additional participants, so it is recommended that you start with the lowest expected number. However, you are not able to remove players later on.

Am I purchasing insurance through NHL Street or Players Health?

  • Players Health is the preferred insurance provider of NHL Street and thus you are purchasing a policy through Players Health.
